I can't even begin to explain how great the house Kory and I are getting is. I absolutely love it. Remember when I first moved down to Kent and fell in love with that Victorian carriage house loft? Well this house is a million times better. Some info on the house:
- It was built in the 1920's and has two stories plus a basement, three bedrooms, a loft, and 1 and half baths (including a claw foot tub!)
- It's in a nice neighborhood that is really close to the school.
- A big backyard with lots of greenery and trees, a deck, a little pond, and a shed.
- Front porch with a swing!
- The kitchen. Oh goodness, how I do love the kitchen. It's pretty small, but it has a ton of custom cabinets/drawers, beautiful wood ones. New tiles on the floor. A dishwasher, thank goodness. A window! I've never had a kitchen with a window in front of the sink.
- New doors to the outside, lots of new windows.
- A stained glass window!
- A gas and electric hookup for a dryer. I'm thrilled about being able to do laundry at home again.
- A wood burning stove and a fireplace!
- Lots of built in shelves/storage, including a built in curio cabinet.
There are so many other awesome quirky things about the layout that I can't explain. I will definitely have to take photos when we move in (June 11th!).
