Morning Mishaps, Part Two.

I got into the shower this morning, went to move the shower head into a normal position (Kory always leaves it pointing way down or off to the side), and got blasted in the face with a stream of water. I absolutely cannot stand water hitting my face. 90% of my time in the shower is spent with my back towards the shower head. (Maybe this isn't weird, I don't know.) When I wash my face I have to either gently splash water on little parts of it or use a washcloth. So I grabbed the shower head and pulled it out of its little holder and noticed that there was a huge crack on the base of it, with water spraying out in two directions, three if you include the normal way it's supposed to come out. When I pushed the two parts together, the water sprayed in another completely different direction, it was horrible! I thought, "Alright, I will just cover up this huge crack with my hand while I wash my hair and it will be fine." Well, it was fine while I washed my hair, but as soon as I put it back up in the holder it hit me in the face again (duh) and also shot straight up at the ceiling (not really good in a claw foot tub). The whole bathroom would have been flooded by the time I was finished.

I yelled for Kory and told him what was going on and he thought it was hilarious. He ran and got some electrical tape, and I handed the shower head to him and he started taping it up, and he would not stop laughing! The tape was not stopping the water, instead it just started shooting from where the tape ended, straight up and straight down. It was a mess. And Dumbo, aka Kory, kept taping it up more and more, laughing hysterically the whole time, and it just kept shooting out of the top and bottom no matter how much he taped it. Meanwhile I stood there freaking out because I thought I was going to have to take a bath. Then Kory had a moment of brilliance and said, "Hey! Where is the old shower head?" meaning the one that was there when we first moved in. So Kory saved the day and put the old shower head on.

Note to self: Don't buy a plastic showerhead next time and make sure you don't wait until the morning of your test to study.
