September 2006 Archives

Alright.

I put up some new photos. 1 photo in the Birds gallery. 6 photos in the Hounds gallery. 10 photos in the Rose's Rescue gallery.

Work is still crazy. Everything was supposed to be finished by this Monday, but that's not going to happen. The company we're working with is handling things extremely slow, so my project is really only half-way done.

Things have been weird with Brooke. She lost her appetite and started losing weight, so we took her in. Had blood work done, but everything was okay (whew!). Dr. Albers told us to feed her only canned food to see if it's possible that her teeth are bothering her, and I think that might be what's going on. We've been feeding her about half canned/half kibble and she eats it all. She even comes running when I tell her it's time to eat, which she hasn't done in forever. So sometime in the near future she's going to have two teeth pulled and hopefully everything will be back to normal.

Other than that, not much going on. I work, eat, sleep, and clean. Things have been rough recently.

A Photo To Hold You Over.

Dash.

This is the ever handsome Mr. Dash. He is a super sweet boy and is available for adoption! He has been with our group since the end of May!

What's Going On.

Ugh. I've been working 60+ hour weeks due to a new project at work. I'll be doing this at least until October 2, so I probably won't be updating much until then. I do have some new photos I want to put up....but there's no time! And I'm sick sick sick of sitting in front of a computer. Okay, off to work some more.

Chomper Whomper.

Chomps And The Headless CamelWe've been taking Chomps to the dog park a lot, hoping to socialize him some more. I'm starting to think that he might not be adoptable. Every time it seems like he's getting better about trusting strangers, something happens and it's like we're back where we used to be. Amy and Andy have been over our house plenty of times, and the other day while they were over Chomps wouldn't even come in the house! He didn't come in until Amy moved from the chair she was sitting in and with Kory luring him in with treats. I just don't understand it. Whenever they leave, he runs over to look out the door for a few minutes, then comes prancing into the living room and starts flinging around his headless camel toy (cute picture of Chomps doing this outside). He's like a completely different dog around strangers. The good thing is that he's never shown signs of fear aggression, and I hope it stays that way. He would almost definitely be unadoptable if that happened. Poor Chomps. He's such an awesome dog, I just wish he would show other people.
