We've been taking Chomps to the dog park a lot, hoping to socialize him some more. I'm starting to think that he might not be adoptable. Every time it seems like he's getting better about trusting strangers, something happens and it's like we're back where we used to be. Amy and Andy have been over our house plenty of times, and the other day while they were over Chomps wouldn't even come in the house! He didn't come in until Amy moved from the chair she was sitting in and with Kory luring him in with treats. I just don't understand it. Whenever they leave, he runs over to look out the door for a few minutes, then comes prancing into the living room and starts flinging around his headless camel toy (cute picture of Chomps doing this outside). He's like a completely different dog around strangers. The good thing is that he's never shown signs of fear aggression, and I hope it stays that way. He would almost definitely be unadoptable if that happened. Poor Chomps. He's such an awesome dog, I just wish he would show other people.
